Refund Policy
If Palja isn't for you, we would rather refund you than keep money you don't feel good about. Write to us — the rules below are how we decide, not hoops to clear.
Last updated: August 23, 2026
Bought on the web (palja.com)? Email support@palja.com from the address on your account and tell us what happened. Most requests are approved.
Bought inside the iOS app? Apple handles that refund — request it at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Subscriptions bought on the web
When you subscribe at palja.com, PALJA Inc. is the seller and we issue refunds directly. Palja Pro unlocks readings that are written for your chart when you open them, so what we can refund depends a little on how much has already been unlocked. In practice:
You changed your mind, and you've barely used it
Within 14 days of the charge, if you haven't unlocked more than a couple of Pro readings — full refund, no reason needed. This is the ordinary "tried it, not for me" case and we don't make it difficult.
It renewed and you meant to cancel
Within 30 days of a renewal charge, if you haven't used the new period — full refund. A longer window than above, on purpose: you haven't received anything for the money, and forgetting to cancel is not something you should pay a year for.
You're partway through an annual subscription
We refund the unused whole months. Four months into a year, you're refunded eight. You keep what you've read and you've paid for the part you used — nobody ends up feeling robbed in either direction.
Something broke
If Palja failed to deliver what you paid for — readings that never generated, an account you were locked out of, charges you didn't make — we refund it in full, whenever it happened. No window applies to our own failures.
The limits
- One refunded subscription per account. After that we'll help you cancel, but we won't refund again.
- Readings already unlocked are delivered content. They're generated for your chart on request and can't be returned, which is why a heavily-used subscription is prorated rather than fully refunded.
- We may decline in cases of abuse — repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles, or accounts in breach of the Terms. We do not decline because you were unhappy with a reading.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method. Processing is usually a few business days on our side; how quickly it appears on a statement is up to your bank or card issuer, and can take a full billing cycle. When a refund is issued, Pro access ends for the period it covered.
Subscriptions bought inside the iOS app
Purchases made through the App Store are sold by Apple, not by us. Apple's refund policy governs, Apple makes the decision, and we have no ability to issue or reverse an App Store charge ourselves — the rules above don't apply, because the money never passed through us.
- Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or through Settings on your device.
- If you'd like us to support the request, write to support@palja.com and we'll contact Apple on your behalf — though the outcome is theirs.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
Cancelling stops the next charge. It doesn't refund a charge you've already paid, and it doesn't cut your access short — you keep Pro through the end of the period you paid for.
- Web subscriptions: cancel from Settings in the app, or email support@palja.com.
- App Store subscriptions: cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.
If you cancel and also want the last charge back, just ask — the renewal rule above is written for exactly that.
Free trials, coupons, and referral credit
Promotional Pro access — free trials, redeemed coupon codes, referral rewards, courtesy grants — carries no cash value and isn't refundable, because nothing was charged for it. If you were charged after a trial or promotional period ended and didn't intend to continue, that's the renewal case above and it's refundable.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits rights you have under the law where you live, and where those rights are stronger they win outright. In particular, consumers in the EU and UK have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. Where that right applies to your purchase, it applies in addition to this policy and is not restricted by the usage conditions above.
Before you dispute a charge
Please write to us first. A chargeback typically takes weeks to resolve and usually ends with the account closed, whereas an email generally gets the money back faster. We would genuinely rather refund you than argue with your bank.
